Alumni Wall

The newsletter that is published by the law school where Adam attended had this little tidbit this week. Adam was very excited to see his hard work come to fruition. Here is th article with pictures:

Completion of Class of 2007 Gift: ALUMNI WALL

Submitted by Patty Thompson, Commencement Coordinator

Every year a committee of students is selected along with faculty and staff to make plans for graduation. The committee spearheads fundraising projects throughout the fall and spring semesters for commencement expenses such as a guest speaker, a reception or luncheon, and a class gift.

With the suggestion from Adam Phillips (J.D. '07) the student committee members for the Class of 2007 voted to raise money for an Alumni Wall for their class gift. For many years the class photographs were displayed above the student lockers, but the students wanted the photographs matted and framed for display in one of the hallways of the law school.

The fundraising project was a success with additional funding from the UW College of Law for the name plates. Each class photo has a name plate mounted on the wall beneath it with the names of the law graduates. The Alumni Wall is now complete and proudly displayed in the hallway across from the soon to be constructed William N. Brimmer Legal Education Center.

Happy Birthday Camille

It was Camille's birthday last week on the 13th of February. It is (and always has been) difficult for Adam to try and come up with fun ideas for both birthday and Valentine's Day. On her Birthday, Adam just made Camille breakfast for dinner, but on Valentine's Day the roads were really bad and snowy. Adam had a big treasure hunt planned around the house, but could not make it back to the house to plant the clues; his plans were foiled. Camille also ordered Adam a present that was delayed in delivary because of the snow. Stupid snow!!

Luckily Camille has a great family and was able to come up with some great presents and fun party. Woo hoo!!

Camile and Jill showing off Camille's bounty.
Ah, the destruction...Camille got a very nice frame for her diploma. You can tell by her puckering lips that she is overcome with joy. We think she is getting ready to blow kisses of gratitude to the multitude.
It is well established that Adam is terrible at wrapping presents. Here is the overwhelming evidence. It took Adam over an hour to try and wrap pj's, perfume, and slippers.
It appears that Camille was ok with the bad wrapping and is happy with her new things.

R.I.P "GOOF"

We, sadly enough, have retired old Greenie. Adam got the exploder, uh, we mean explorer, a few days after he got home from his mission. It has lasted almost ten years and 125,000 miles. We wish we could say it worked all that time, but quite honestly, it was a piece of crap. Adam had a lot of good memories in it and is sad to see those memories leave; however, his new truck is quickly helping him to forget about the green turd. Here are a few pics of the exploder. Not sure what Adam is doing here, I think he is carressing it once last time.
Notice his license plate, his dad, Jim, picked it out for him thinking it was funny. It is really 600F, but looks like GOOF. Goodbye GOOF, goodbye...sniffle, sniffle.
The new love of Adam's life. We were lucky enough to stumble onto a great deal for a new, well new to us, 2005 Toyota Tundra. It has low mileage and lots of testosterone. It has bucket seats, so Adam and Camille cannot fully enjoy their new hick status (note: Hicks in Wyo. always have their woman sitting next to them in their trucks). We are still waiting on the gun rack and playboy mud flaps.
Frontal view....feel the power, the manly power!!!

Go Jazz Go!!!

Adam has been lucky enough to get some Utah Jazz tickets the past two weekends (Thanks to Camille's parents and Uncle Rich). The first weekend Adam took his parents and eight year old nephew, Dylan. Camille has been working an insane amount of hours during tax season and was not able to attend.
Here is Jim and Julie with Dylan after the Jazz beat the Clippers. Boozer and Harpring posters at Energy Solutions Arena
The view from the seats.
The second weekend that Adam had tickets to the Jazz game he took his best friend Derek. Camille had to work once again.

Glasses and all things boring

So, as reported months ago, Adam broke his glasses while watching the climatic finish to the BYU v. Utah football game. But, after two months of waiting and some issues with the eye doctor, Adam finally has new glasses. But, Adam being Adam, could not take a normal pose and had to make faces. It has been extremely cold here in Wyoming, and as a result, we have gotten really bored. So, we decided to give Adam a new look, thanks to Camille's hair. He looks oh so sexy!!!!After so many months of seeing Adam looking crazy in photos, it was about time to post a crazy Camille photo.

More New Year's Fun

Here is the 2008 sign with the unlit ball in downtown Evanston. It was a fun, cold night. Once again, another crazy Adam Face
And you wonder where Adam gets it from (Adam's dad, Jim).
Adam's brother, Eric, looking like Waldo or a prisoner, but enjoying the evening's festivities nonetheless.

Happy New Year, 2008

For New Year's we went to Evanston for their annual New Year's Ball drop at Historic Depot Square. Here is a picture of us with Adam's family with the ball lit up behind us. The temperature that night was negative 8 degrees. Very cold, but the fireworks and family were a blast.
HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2008 We had a dinner of finger foods, it was very good. In this pic are Camille, Adam's mom, Eric and Aimei, and Carli.
Carli shovelling in the food.
We found some more poppers (an Australian tradition) for the new year's. Here is Aimei and Adam's Mom pulling a popper apart.
Adam's mom (Julie) and Camille with crowns on from the poppers.
