We have finally taken the plunge and purchased something for Blasto: a crib. It was delivered in a big box, which made Adam a little intimidated (because he is not a strong builder of things). So, we opened it up, and dispursed all the items throughout the room in preperation for the building of the Blasto Crib.
Camille was there in a supervisory role. Or, more specifically, as the task master, telling Adam what and how to do things.
You can clearly see Adam forcing a smile as he reads the instructions and claims, "This can't be that hard, it is a four sided crib!!" However, as he looked closer at the instructions he got more and more nervous. Note: They were the most poorly written instructions that anyone on the earth could have ever imagined. We kept having to look at the picture on the box and then at the instructions to make sure we were putting the thing together correctly.
Adam still forcing a smile as he screws all the little pieces in. He really struggled with the little tiny tools the crib came with. He would begin to screw something in and would either drop the wrench or it would slip out of its spot. Note: No fits of anger were thrown in the making of this crib...just awkward and forced smiles.
Adam showing off his tiny Allen Wrench that caused him much heartache. He was claiming the Allen Wrench was his sworn enemy, and it was either his blood or the wrench's that would be spilt by the end of the day.
It slowly took form with only two minor screw ups (no pun intended). Overall, despite the really crappy instructions, Adam did a pretty good job. By the end he yelled, "Bob Vila ain't got nothing on me!!!"
The finished product. Actually, right when we finished the door bell rang and it was the UPS man deliving the bedding. So, we went right in and put it on...you know, to make sure it didn't look funny...or too girly, which was Adam's top concern. He really wanted transformers or G.I. Joe sheets, but Camille told him those are only for big boy beds...then Adam asked if he could have some transformers or G.I. Joe sheets on his bed. Camille told him you are old. Adam cried a little.
Blasto's bed is now ready...he will come home from the hospital naked (because we have not bought anything else), but at least he will have a place to sleep.
After we finished up with the crib, we ran some errands around town. One of our stops landed us at the grocery store. Adam came running up to Camille and said, "OH MY GOSH!! They already have Easter candy, and they have Cadberry hard shelled chocolate eggs!!" For those of you who have never had them...you are missing out on a great treat.
So, we bought a couple of bags and have gorged ourselves ever sense. An early start on the Easter candy never hurt anyone...right?
A quick story as to why we call the boy Blasto. When we first learned of the pregnancy we read all the books about what the baby looks like, and what he is doing at each stage. In the begining, when the cells first split, the baby is nothing more than a blastocyst. Adam thought this was pretty cool and that it sounded like a superhero. Ever since we have called the boy, Blasto, because of his humble beginings. Also, we have really struggled coming up with a name...so, it is easier to just say Blasto.

East Coast aint got nothing on us!!
This weekend Adam's parents were supposed to come and visit; and if they could not make it, then we were going to travel to Casper, Wyoming and try to buy some items for Blasto. However, about Wednesday it started to snow. We kept checking the weather and it kept saying 30% chance of snow. Well, it never stopped snowing...for three days...tons of snow...resulting in road closures. Finally we woke up this morning, Sunday, and we had sunny skies, but A LOT of snow. Almost two feet.
The snow in our back yard is up past Camille's knees. Adam was really tempted to give Camille a big shove into the snow, but knew his life would be quickly ended if he did this.
Since Adam's parents didn't make it and we didn't go to Casper, we hung out this weekend and got some things done around the house. We also made some delicious Bannana Split Pizza. If you would like the recipe, we can post it later...it is from Paula Dean...and is super healthy because it it made with fruit. Note: Disregard the fact that it is also made with brownies, chocolate, and a lot of sugar...focus more on the fruit.
And finally, Camille hit 24 weeks this week (6 months). Time is sure flying and we are closing in on the last trimester. We bought a crib this weekend, and that was good to get out of the way. Other than that, we have nothing. Adam says he is banking on the fact that we will have some showers, otherwise, we will have the wrap Blasto in dirty laundry while having him sleep in the dresser. Note: Adam says that Camille still looks hot sporting a baby bump.
Valentine's Day
This year Valentine's Day was made extra special because it was on Sunday and Adam had time to run home during church and set up his gifts for Camille. Camille woke up early and set up her things for Adam. Note: The funny thing about these "gifts" is that we both hid them in the garage. The gifts themselves were hidden about two feet from each other, and neither one of us realized it until we talked about where we had hidden them. Note II: It was Camille's birthday the day before and Adam gave her a lot of gifts, but ran out of time to get her a new water bottle. So, he had to draw a picture of a water bottle with a promise to get her one when they go to Utah next. If you look close you can see the pic under the flowers.
Since our lives are about to change drastically, we decided to have one last romantic, candle lit, Valentine's day dinner. You know, before the spawn starts to destroy things.
Another Valentine's day card Camille recieved was from a little girl in our ward. She didn't quite get the spelling of our last name right, but Camille loved it.
Blasto (the nickname for our little spawn) also recieved some Valentine goods. He got a little BYU beanie. Adam was super excited to see it and quickly remarked that Blasto will leave the hospital true blue!! Later in the day Camille came out and saw Adam trying to put the beanie on. Adam said it looked so cool he wanted to see if it fit him. Instead, it looked almost like he was a Jewish BYU fan. Note: No offense to any Jews.
Adam then forced Camille to give the little hat a try. She looks more like a sailor. Hopefully Blasto will make the hat look a lot better than we did.

Who are you? Who? Who?
As promised, here is the 3-D photo of our little guy. Don't mind the fact that you can see into his brain and eye socket, and his arm looks more like a club than a hand and fingers. It was as close as the doctor could get with the ultrasound and still make out the features. So, who does he look more like????
