BABY!! Get in my belly

After almost 4 and half years of marriage, Camille and Adam are pleased to announce Adam is pregnant. The following picture is an exclusive first look at his pregnant self. He has put on a few pounds and his hormones have caused some unwanted hair growth. He has not been in the best of moods, and you can see the frustration in his face. But he is so happy.Ok, only kidding. Actually, Camille is the one who is pregnant!! The baby is due in June and we are very excited. As is customary, we had to include an in bathroom, pregnancy test picture. Note: It seems that on blogs whenever someone gets pregnant they must have a picture of the mom, the stick, and it must be in the bathroom.
The evidence that soon we will have a little person to terrorize the neighborhood, Grandparents, and christmas trees. Sorry, it isn't the most clear picture, but you get the point...two bars means spawn of Adam.This is the first picture that we took of Camille, as you can see it was at 12 weeks. She is a few weeks further along now, but doesn't look much different. We have had a few questions concerning what we are going to name the baby. If it is a boy we are going with either LaVell Edward Phillips or Cougar Blue Phillips. If it is a girl we are thinking of Nal Jean Phillips or Gypsy Rose of the West Phillips...but we are still up in the air and are open to suggestions.

Christmas Time is here

We are and were very excited for the Holidays (more specifically Thanksgiving). So excited, in fact, that we forgot our camera and therefore, had no pictures of Thanksgiving. For Thanksgiving we headed down to Adam's house, and then down to Utah to be with Adam's extended family. Essentially, that means Adam plays hours and hours of basketball with his cousins, while Camille hangs out with all the other girl cousins. Every year Adam does the same joke: After he is done playing basketball he is totally covered in sweat and attempts to hug Camille. Yeah, it isn't really that funny, but he laughs. This year Camille broke the mold and made her first Pumpkin pie.It was so good that it was actually almost gone night before Thanksgiving.
Last year we had a large living room, so we braved the elements and cut down a monster tree to decorate. This year, we once again braved the elements and went to Ace Hardware to pick out a tree. It was a nice 7 footer. Adam was fully expecting a Charlie Brown tree, but was pleased we found this one. Oh, and it was -5 degrees.We got home and Adam did his best man job at getting the tree into the garage. If you look closely you can see the pure determination in his face. Either that or the tree is heavy and giving him a hernia.We even had to buy a saw to cut a little off the bottom of the tree.
Saw = $7.00
Tree = $40.00
Watching Adam saw and pitch a monster fit = pricelessThe saw was a piece of crap and as Adam cut the tree would move. So, throughout the process the tree went in a full circle and Adam had probably only cut an inch into it.At last, the tiny piece had come off. Camille was very pleased, and full of yuletide spirit. She also got a little high by smelling the pine...you can see the glazed over, crazy look in her face.The end, decorated result. There are few more decorations through out the house, but at least you get a view of the tree. Note: There are no presents under the tree. Camille tells Adam he was a naughty boy while sawing the stump of the tree that he is just getting a lump of coal. He is currently crying.This is the same view, only at night in the dark. It looks much better in person.
After we finished with the real tree, we focused our attention on the "pencil" tree as Adam calls it. He calls it that because it is super skinny and tall, but it packs a festive little punch. As Camille was removing the ornaments, she had a Griswold moment. It only took us an hour to sort through all the hooks that were entangled.Adam was clearly wearing down by the end of the night. His face shows his excitment of decorating. He was so excited at first, he even did a little dance while the chipmunks sang a christmas carol. But after almost 7 hours of decorating, he was just about to pass out. We are finally ready for Santa to come....Are you???
