Crazy photos from Christmas

Every year Adam gets a little crazy towards the end of opening presents. Here is some photographic evidence of his insanity.
Camille's cousin, Abby, got a snappy new pair of boots. She will be the hottest thing on the playground when school starts again.
Camille's other Cousin, Alex. Adam has so much fun tormenting this little guy, but here he is enjoying Christmas morning.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We enjoyed being with our families and friends and are so grateful for the love and support.
We wish everyone a safe and happy New Year.

Christmas in the hood

For some reason this year was the year of the coat. Almost everyone got new coats or sweaters and, ironically enough, they all had hoods. So, we all got pics with our coats and hoods.
Adam's in the Christmas hood, showing some leg.Camille's dad, Dennis: New Coat with Hood
Camille, flashing gang signs: New sweater
Nevermind that Camille's sister Jill looks like a bum, she had like two shirts, a hoodie, and a new coat on. She was a good sport and was enjoying Christmas in the hood.

Christmas day in Logan with Camille's Family

Camille's Grandma and Grandpa's house always has a great Christmas spirit and we had a blast being there this year. Camille and her sister Jill were busy on Christmas Eve making Candy Cane Cream Puffs
Ah Christmas Morning!! Adam and Camille tearing through their stockings. Adam looks very tired.
Tearing through the gifts. Jill looks asleep, but we think she was so overcome with Christmas spirit that she just passed out. Also, notice Camille's fancy new Yoga mat. It has become her new passion and Santa remembered to bring it to her. That Santa knows so much!!

Santa's Mini Me

Santa came to visit, in a BYU T-Shirt...hmmmSanta's Mini Me came as well. (AKA Adam's Nephew, Hanky)
Here is the dynamic duo, sans red hat and beard. They are very much a like, and always have a blast together.
Adam's brother Eric with his Wife Aimei (green coat) and sister Annie, unwrapping some gifts.
Adam's other nephew, Dylan, holds up his prized gift, bumble bee (a transformer).

T'was the night before, the night before Christmas

The Phillips Family decided to celebrate Christmas a little early because Adam's sister, Annie, was in town and was leaving on Christmas Eve. We had a wonderful Prime Rib that tasted excellent. The Phillips' Family living room is ready for Santa
Last year when were in Australia for Christmas they had these things called Poppers, which is what Camille is holding. The tradition is to have two people grab at seperate ends and pull. A loud pop occurs and goodies fall out. Usually the contents are a joke, a hat, and a toy.

Adam is not a good wrapper!

We are getting closer to Christmas so after a glutteny of shopping on Saturday at the malls in Salt Lake, we had to wrap all of our presents. Actually, Adam had to wrap two presents for Camille, and let's just say, he is not good Here is Adam showing off his wrapping skills, or lack thereof..I guess it is lucky that Camille has skills with scissors and tape. Ah, the finished product...beautiful presents under the tree

We know it is not fun to turn your head to look at this pic, but unfortunatley we could not figure out how to flip it...so, just notice the presents under the tree.

Betty Crocker

Every year that we have been married we have made sugar cookies at Christmas time. In the past it was a hurried process that was accomplished in between finals. However, this year, we had a little time to relax with some friends and enjoy.
Here Camille is preparing the cookies. You can see the cut out dough on the counter and the finished product coming out of the oven. Isn't she just so domestic.
Here is the finished product...Pre-icing.Here is the post-product
We needed some help with icing all the cookies we made so we recruited Steve and Ruth Casey; and Rob and Melonie Henderson (their children mostly ate the candy and icing, but they were included in the help)

Nevermind the fact that Ruth is making a funny face here. More importantly, it looks as though she is inadvertantly flipping the bird.

Simply having a wonderful Christmas time

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
So, this is the First Christmas that we have gotten a tree. We have always been in school and went home for the holidays. Although, now that we are all grown up, we got our first Christmas tree. (However, we still do not have a star or a skirt...they are pending)We bought the tree at a craft store in Logan, Utah. However, we drove Camille's Mazda, which is very small and Adam had to do some nifty packing...and by nifty, I mean he shoved the tree in the trunk with all his might. But we got it home.
Sadly enough, when we got home the base of the tree fell off and a couple of the branches became unglued. So, Adam being the brilliant man he is used his brute force to shove the stand back into place. It will work for now. We are just happy to have a tree.
Camille hard at work putting lights on.

Oh the Insanity

So, during the last couple of minutes of the BYU v. Utah game Adam got super upset/excited. At one point, in frustration, he grabbed the sides of his head and accidently snapped his glasses in half. Here he is, happy that BYU won, but sad he broke his nice glasses.
Here they are up close. Camille's grandpa got out some white tape and wanted to tape them together. Adam declined, not wanting to look more nerdy than he already does.

Did you hear that?

Did you hear that? It was the air leaving the Utah Pukes sails. BYU came from behind to win. What a great game. Unfortunatley we went to take some pictures of our Thanksgiving festivities and realized we were out of batteries. So, just hope that everyone had a great time eating turkey, watching football, and being with family.

It's On!!!!

BYU takes on the University of Poo this week. As you can tell, I hate them!!!
I thought it was funny when I was attending BYU that during rivalry week all the statues on campus would be covered in plastic to avoid vandalism. You could also see added security guards all over the campus. Those classless Pukes!!

I love this pic taken of last year's finale where Johnny Harline caught the game winning TD from John Beck. I am hoping that BYU will win again this year.

The Game

BYU v. WYO: 35-10

This is a pic right outside of War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyoming. We had many people tell us how disgusting we were. Notice that we are both happy now, but Camille was upset by the end of the day.

This is the entry way to the University of Wyoming's campus. It is really quite nice. All of the buildings on campus are built of similar sandstone found in this sign.

Camille standing outside of the Stadium in front of one of Wyoming's motos. Once again, notice the smile that would soon fade once the game began.

Since we could not sit by each other (mainly because Camille refused...sniffle), Adam stood in the endzone by all the other BYU fans, while Camille sat in the stands with some friends.

Just a shot of some of the Cougars. Adam got that close.

A good pic of Collie #9 and Pitta #32, along with some of the Cowboys fans in the background.

Overall, it was actually a fun trip back to Laramie. We saw lots of old friends and really enjoyed ourselves.

The Phillips Family Picture

This was a picture taken at the end of the summer '07, when Adam's parents returned home from their mission. Carli, who is in the front was not able to attend and was later digitially put in. Crazy what technology can do! The picture was taken in the backyard in Evanston. I can't believe how big the family is getting.

Halloween Spectacular

Another Halloween has come and gone. We did the traditional things this year, like carving pumpkins and handed out candy to all 8 trick or treaters that came by. It was kind of a calm night for us; but here are some pics of our carving skills.

Nevermind our 70's flooring and kitchen decor (that is just our crappy apt.). Camille is striking a pose with her pumpkin.

Camille preparing to cut

Adam holding a knife with another knife sticking out of his victim...once again, ignore our yellow countertops.

The finished product on Halloween.

We didn't dress up this year, but thought it would be ok to show pics of us dressed up last year.

Adam should really look into getting a hair weave like the one he has in these pics. Also, the convict in orange is Adam's brother, Eric.
