The Halfway Point

We have reached the halfway mark of the pregnancy. Camille has done very well and had no problems so far, which is very lucky. Her belly is starting to grow and become more noticable. Adam's belly remains the same size, despite the fact he claims he too is eating for two. Here is Camille at 20 weeks, looking spectacular. NOTE: She is a few more weeks along now. We have a great picture of the baby in 3-D. However, when we scanned it, the image was corrupt and we were unable to post it here on the blog. Instead you get a picture of Camille at 16 weeks. We will try and get the image to work and add it later. Camille is just getting going with tax season and is super busy. We think our child will be smarter because he will have gone through a tax season...he will absorb the information through her belly. Either that, or he will be really lame because he was boared to death while he was developing.
In other baby news, because well...that is the only thing we really have going on right now. We have felt the little dude move and kick. Adam loves it!! We went to the high school basketball game, which had very loud drums. Each time the drums would bang, Camille said the little dude would go crazy. Apperantly he does not enjoy loud noises...the wuss!! Adam tried to give him a pep talk, but later that night we went to the movies, and when a loud part would come along, he would move and jiggle as well.

Adam's Baby

All Adam has wanted for years and years is a flat screen television and some High Def for his veiwing pleasures. Was that too much to ask. Well for Camille and her frugal ways, it was. Each Christmas, Birthday, and Valentine's day (because Camille loves Adam) he would beg for a big TV. Well, this year Camille told Adam to do some research on a good TV and she would think about letting him buy it. After much pressure, some tears, and a ton of begging, Camille gave in and voila, a TV is now in our house. It was delivered a few days after Christmas and Adam couldn't wait to set it up. Once we got the TV, Camille said our old entertainment center had to go. The former entertainment center was acutally found by Adam when he was in law school. Someone had thrown it out and it was sitting next to the dumpster. He and his old roommate ran out, grabbed it, and made it there own. When we got married, it somehow stuck around. Camille was ready for its death. So, we made a quick trip to IKEA, where we found a suitable replacement. The only problem...we had to put it together.

If any of you know Adam very well, you know he cannot do anything that would require manual labor or tools. He was very nervous, but Camille was there to give support, and tell him what to do.
Adam had to screw in 64 screws, and hammer in 24 nails. By the time he was closing in, he started to complain that his hand was hurting and he was getting blisters. So, he had to put on his work gloves. Camille thinks he was just trying to look a little more manly while doing manly things. However, sadly enough the next few days after this project Adam's muscles in his shoulders and hands were sore.
The finished product looks fantastic!! Adam was very happy about actually putting something together with only losing his temper twice, and not following the directions once. After we were done, Adam was also so surprised at how nice it looked compared to the old entertainment center he found at the dumpster. He said we are so much more classy now, and quickly asked if Camille would bring him some caviar because we are high class people. Camille told him to take out the garbage and quit whining about his hurting hands.

We are having....

Trucks, guns, GI Joe, blue, basketball, football, dirt, mud, grease, baseball, Star Wars, video games, ball games, hats, scouts, bikes, rough housing, skinned knees, bear hugs, fishing ...yeah, we are having a BOY!!!
Note: This is not a "Where's Waldo" ultrasound pic (so don't squint and look for his manhood too long). It is only a profile pic...don't worry, we are 100% sure he is a boy.

Christmas in the woods

Merry Christmas!!! We hope everyone had a great holiday season and Santa found all of your houses and stockings. This year instead of going over the river and through the woods to Grandma's house, we went over the river and through the woods to Yellowstone...well, Island Park, Idaho to be more specific. Camille's parents were kind enough to rent a cabin. We got up there late on Christmas Eve and immediately set out to bring as much Christmas cheer into the cabin by decorating a tree. Camille's sister, Jill is so excited she can't stop smiling...and if you look real, real, real close, you may be able to see Camille's baby bump. One may think that because Adam was relaxing in the recliner that he didn't have any Christmas spirit, but that would be a wrong assumption. He was actually really tired after having driven all day in snow storms to arrive at the cabin. He was also very into A White Christmas, which was showing on tv.
Christmas morning was magical!! It was snowing and very pretty outside. Inside Santa had delivered lots of little goodies. Camille and Jill were like little kids as they stared at all the wonderful things Santa had brought.
Adam has grown a lot this year. He has been eating very healthy foods and been a very good boy. He grew so much that all his clothes he got for Christmas didn't fit. Only kidding, Santa was even good to the spawn of Adam...Santa was so good that he even knows our little baby will be a BYU fan.Adam was even ready to go to work on Christmas morning. He said he was going to wear this very outfit to court when he got back. You could see in his face that he was dead serious, but Camille kindly explained that the pants may be a bit much.Camille's dad, Dennis got into the act of opening presents by placing a crown of fig leaves on his head. You may have to look close, but you can see Dennis was crowned the King of Christmas morning. After this he ordered the servants of the house to "Make me breakfast, I am starving!!"A nice picture of Christmas morning outside. It snowed quite a bit, and was just a pretty place. Camille's mom and sister got in the hot tub later in the afternoon of Christmas. It was super cold outside and Camille (being with child and all) only stood and watched.
The day after Christmas we went snow shoeing into Yellowstone. At first we thought it was fun and neat to run around in what felt like oversized flip flops. However, after about 20 minutes of walking on a trail, we were getting pooped. After two hours we were covered in sweat and wishing we had skiis. It was a neat experience and very pretty, but next time we will make sure to bring a sled with dogs. Note: Adam couldn't help but do a Heisman pose.

Camille and her mom, Terri stopped to take a break and wipe the sweat from their brows. Adam had practically stripped down to nothing because he got so hot...and frankly, no one wants to see a picture of that.
After our nice hike through the park we stopped off to get a picture. Adam claims we look like ski bums with our sunglasses on and our laid back attitude look. Camille says we just look tired.
After our strenious work out at the park, we came back and decided to brave the cold weather and get in the hot tub. The tub was a ways from the house and it was cold outside. Adam was ready to go and looked oh so good. Camille is still surprised that he has recieved no calls to be the cover model in the next Sports Illustrated swim suit issue.
A nice family Christmas photo on the stairs. All we are missing for this to be a true Wyoming Christmas photo is a dog, some stuffed animal heads, and a beer hat. Ah well, we made due and had a wonderful Christmas!!!
