Happy Doughnut Day '09

We know many children and cops could barely sleep on the night of June 4th, for they knew that a certain fat elfish man would be making rounds the next day...becuase on June 5th, it was DOUGHNUT DAY!!!In honor of one of our favorite holidays, we had to prepare properly, so we went and got some sandwiches, quickly ate them, and put on our magic aprons, ready to roll (oh yes, pun intended!)Camille, the little doughnut elf she is, had spread the ingrediants out before her, ready to create a magical pastry that many a law enforcement officer has succombed to.
Adam had to slap Camille's hand away more than once as she attempted to reach in and sneak bites of the dough. On a side note, Adam thought that was disgusting, who eats raw dough...magic doughnut elves DO NOT eat enchanted dough.

Adam was the deep fry guy elf. We decided to make a different shape than last year's doughnuts. They cooked much faster, but still were filled with enchanted goodness and flavor.
The Head Elf himself...Adam was very happy to be making the doughnuts. Camille had to slap his hand away many times from eating the doughnuts after they were fried. On a side note, dough after it is fried and covered in sugar and cinnamon is absolutley amazing!! Magic Doughnut Elves DO eat as many fried doughnuts as possible.
The finished product before we made our doughnut run to all the good little families in our neighborhood.
If you look closely you can see that Adam made sure that each Doughnut had a magical touch. That magical touch was a good inch or two of sugar and cinnamon. He kept saying that these doughnuts are a dieters delight because we cut the middles out...so he could eat two or three more than he did last year.
Camille's face was pure ecstasy and pleasure as she tore apart an enchanted Doughnut. Adam kept trying to think of Doughnut Day Carols to sing, but they all sounded more like the themes from McDonalds.
Welcome to Doughnut land...a place that is kind of like Chuck-o-rama, but with doughnuts!!Adam, the head doughnut elf, says that you had better be good, because he is keeping an eye on you.

The Pickle has flown the coup

A couple of weekends ago we made the long trek down to see Camille's sister Jill "The Pickle" graduate from high school. When we first got married Jill was only in 8th grade, so it was a bit weird to be seeing her graduate from high school. She has gotten so old!!! Soon she will be off to college, studying hard, partying hard, and looking for wild men...just kidding, she won't study that hard...Jilly Pickle was so tickled to be graduating that she attempted to eat her tassle and throw down a peace sign. Her close friend Nathan was just tickled. The neatest thing about the entire day was that Jill graduated top of her class...well, she actually shared the accolade with two others, but, she was one of the speakers. She did such a nice job that someday one may see her on the Food Network...Jillian Childs anyone?
Speaking of Jillian Childs...Adam was put in charge of preparing some of the after graduation food. He and others cut a miriad of veggies and made kababs.
Adam was attempting his best Julia...Jillian Childs face as he applied the BBQ sauce. He also kept saying, "Don't mess with a man in an apron, SUCKA!!"

I wear my Sunglasses at night

Since we are boring people that don't have a ton of things to update with, we decided to show the one thing that is pretty exciting that happened recently...Camille got new sun glasses and a scarf. Adam is sure that many of you out there in Blogger land were thinking, "hey, isn't that the girl married to David Beckham?" or "What modeling agency has she signed with?" But alas, it is Camille in all her Sunglass glory... Here is a full body image of Camille modeling the new Sunglasses. Adam tried them on, but was immediatley told he looks like a bug and should remove them or suffer penalties of pain and anguish. Only the truely posh may wear such glasses...and make it look as good as Camille does. As Camille walked around the house with them on, Adam would sing with his best Camille voice, "I'm too sexy for my husband..."
