Adam's birthday falls at the end of July, which Camille says she is always jealous of because hers is in February. It is cold and generally snowy, and she doesn't get to do fun things like go to Bear Lake. So, this year, we went to Bear Lake. We took some of Adam's family and some of Camille's family. Grady was in heaven. Not only did he have lots of fun aunts, uncles, and grandparents to do his bidding, but also had sand and water.
The birthday boy in all his glory!!
What is a trip to the lake without wonderful food. We were incredibly lucky to have a private beach. Camille's dad had a coworker who gave us permission to use his beach front property, which included a grassy area, table and umbrella.
Ah, the lovely couple. It isn't Hawaii, but as close as we are going to get in the Rocky Mountains.
Grady, again, had many slaves at Bear Lake. Grandpa was a good sport and took Grady up and down the beach, into the water, and up to get snacks all day long.
The sand and the sand toys were Grady's loves. In fact, he loved them so much, he wouldn't take a nap and pitched an incredible fit when we had to leave. The second he was in his car seat and stopped crying, he was asleep. He LOVED the lake.
Uncle Chuck was good enough to take Grady out in a little tube...however, Grandpa was never far away.
Since Grady was bossing Grandpa and some of the aunts around, the rest of us just lounged or floated around an orange buoy. We sat out in the lake for a few hours, just talking and enjoying the nice summer day. Note: Uncle Chuck was the only one brave enough to go shirtless...because of this he was forced to walk around all day sucking in and flexing.
