The dog days of summer...Grady went to some friends house to be watched a week ago or so. The friends that were watching him have a couple of sweet little girls who LOVED Grady. They decided that because it was hot and bright outside, Grady needed the appropriate attire and gave him some of their old sun glasses. Grady believed himself to be the coolest kid on the block and would not stop singing, "I wear my sunglasses at night..."
When he is not terrorizing the neighborhood friends, he is torturing his parents. He is now a full time walker and gets into everything. His favorite haunts include: the bookcase in his room where he rips all the books off, Dad's night stand where he rips all dad's books off, Mom's night stand where he rips all mom's books off, anything in the kitchen, and has recently discovered toilets.
Last year Camille begged Adam to plant a garden. Adam said, "What do I look like? The first man on earth!!?" and refused to do so. This year, Camille begged and Adam finally gave in. So, we planted a small garden last spring in our backyard. When we first planted the garden, we were sure it was going to fail. Boy howdy were we wrong!! It has exploded!! (Note: This photo was taken a few weeks ago, and the garden has doubled in size since then...the plants are taller and fatter than before.)
To this point we have harvested close to 4 cups of strawberries
Every corn stock has at least two or three or more ears, we have picked a few cups of beans, had some peas, and are waiting for our potatoes to fully grow.
The biggest shocker of all is the Zucchini and Yellow Squash. Adam went out last week to see if any was ready and came in holding a foot long zucchini. Grady thought it was a ball and tried to throw it. We now have more zucchini than we now what to do with. Note: Camille has made 8 loaves of bread, 3 dozen cookies, frozen 13 bags of shredded zucchini, and it feels like we eat it or yellow squash every night. Adam says Camille should change her name to Eve and has even gone so far as to call Grady, Cain...just kidding.

wow, holy garden! Wyoming soil must be golden for that is a load of veggies indeed. David is sitting over here quite jealous as he has been wanting to plant a garden for years. But we have to own a home and the dirt behind it first to do so!
Jealous!!! Our strawberries and pumpkin got burnt to a crisp! Our trees are doing ok. Some day we will have something grow! Grady is adorable!
What a great garden! I have serious garden envy now.
