It's that time of year again, when people break out the music, egg nog, and garland. They deck the halls, and happily wrap presents. But, do they go out in the middle of no where and kill innocent trees? No, this is the year of a blood red Christmas!!
Just kidding. This year we were lucky enough to go out with Camille's family and cut down not just one Christmas tree...oh no, when you go out with the Cartwrights you GO OUT...we cut down 3 Christmas trees and included some boughs to deck something (Adam was shocked that someone actual does deck the halls with boughs of real holly.)

In this pic Adam is tag teaming with Camille's dad to murder...uh, cut down this tree. The saying is true that if there are people in the forest and a tree is cut down, people do hear the tree scream.
Adam decided that "saws, saws, we don't need no saws!!" So, he attempted to push over trees. They were dead and easily pushed over, but he felt like a super hero. As Camille and her family were wondering around the forest they could hear someone screaming "Hulk SMASH!!" and trees falling over.
Camille would like to know who the genius is that gave Adam a saw? Or is this the movie poster for "A Blood Red Christmas: Screaming Trees"
Camille somehow convinced Adam that it would be a good idea to have a 15 foot live Christmas tree in our house. So here she is, posing once again, with her Christmas Tree.
This is a side view of the monster tree. Adam thinks that Camille was trying her best to be in Hallmark Christmas special. All she needed was Randy Travis to come out of the truck saying or singing, "Have your self, a merry little Christmas..."
The sequal to the blockbuster, movie of the year, "A Blood Red Christmas: Screaming Trees" is the highly anticipated "Twilight: When the Trees fight back like vampires in love"
At the end of the killings...uh, day, we attempted to get a nice family photo. The camera was balanced on two logs with pieces of bark holding it in place. Because of our brilliant skills with a camera, most of the pictures had parts of the log in it, was tilted to the side, or, in this pic's case, had Camille's mom being a shadow person. Ah well, it was a great day for killing trees...cutting trees. Happy Holiday Decorating to all.

The saddest part about going to the theme parks in California is waiting in lines. We actually had to wait in line to get a picture by Jaws. Adam really let it eat him up in the end.
Another of Adam's true loves in life is playing Halo. He was giddy to see the Master Chief on display.

While watching A Bugs Life it became difficult to tell who was bugging who...Adam bugging Camille or the lines bugging Adam. While standing in line Adam continously made buzzing sounds and poked Camille while making the face below...watching Camille become annoyed...priceless.
Adam was so taken with this hat that he was imagining himself being swept away by a prince on a white steed.
So, Adam was forced to serenade her while doing a jig and wearing a Peter Pan hat. He was so convincing as Peter Pan that Disney actively recruited Adam for their parades and shows. But due to time contstraints we were unable to oblidge.
At night it would get a bit cold, so instead of wearing sweat shirts, we just decided to get soup. They had fantastic chowder in a bread bowl. Camille was tempted to put on some mouse ears and officially model the soup for Disney, but at the last second decided to go in a different direction.
Camille pigged out on pizza in fantasyland...who knew they had pizza in the future...go figure.
Camille sucking down not one, but two ice cream cones...and next to an elephant. Only in Disneyland we guess. (Actually, one of the cones was Adam's)
The best treat we found was the Pineapple floats at the stand outside the Tiki Room. This delightful treat can only be found in Hawaii and Disneyland. So, we made sure to get a few of them to make sure we enjoyed their originality.
While Adam was off driving above, Camille was getting some action from Mr. Toad. That Toad knows how to work it, gotta give him some credit.
Adam tried for a good ten minutes to pull the sword out before Camille finally told him that the sword doesn't come out. As we were walking away, Adam gave it two more good pulls just to make sure.
Our personal favorite is Pirates of the Carribean...we went on the ride like 15 times in the three days we were there. Don't mind Camille getting fresh with the skull...
This is a terrible picture because it is a picture of a picture. We were on the Tower of Terror, and we couldn't pass up sharing Adam's reaction to falling. He is on the top right. Camille was much more stoic.
Storybook land is a fun little ride where a whale jumps out and eats a little girl's head. This was an attempt to take a picture of the whale as we went into its mouth. Instead it turned out to look like the whale was eating the little girl.
One of Camille's favorite rides is Splash Mountain. However, everytime we went on it we were sitting in the front. The first few times we got somewhat wet, however, the last time we went on it we had three heavier people in our log. Words cannot describe how wet we were, but these pictures can.
Adam literally had two dry spots...his waistline and his arm pit.
Adam had not been to Disneyland in over 15 years, and so had never been on Indiana Jones. He was very excited about the ride, but was more taken with all the neat stuff leading up to the actual ride. Note: Adam was not getting fresh with this skull.
Adam was so happy to be going on Indiana Jones that he attempted a pole dance. His leg was even kicked up, but was out of frame. Too bad world...you missed one heck of a show.

Adam strongly considered wearing black robes with a white wig to be sworn in, but opted for a brown suit. Here he is in front of the Supreme Court's bench.
Camille's family was very supportive of Adam through law school and the bar exam. It was very nice to have them there. They too avoided giving good game slaps (must run in the family) and opted for hugs.

Although in this picture Adam looks more like the old, constipated, senile guy down the street who has a lot of cats and yells at kids for walking on his grass, calling them things like "whippersnappers," "punks," or "lolligaggers"
Here is a better clue as to what we dressed up as.
