Grady is now almost six weeks old...and is already folding his arms, closing his eyes, and saying little prayers. If you look very close in this picture you actualy can see a small halo forming over the top of his head...or maybe little horns, we are unsure. When he is sleeping and being a good boy, totally a halo, but when he cries...definitley horns.
What kind of parents would we be if we didn't post a pic of our little guy getting a bath. Totally obligatory. These types of pictures will come in handy when he is older and brings girls home. Grady usually loves his baths and just likes to soak. Note: Adam had the common decency to cover his 'stuff' with a washcloth.

We also went to the doctor and got his measurments:
Weight: 8Lbs 8oz. - 50 percentile
Height: 21 3/4 inches - 50 percentile
Head Size: 15 3/8 - 60 percentile
Note: He is very alert and will just stare at you with a very intense look while talking to him.
Dad looks pretty worn out in this picture...but notice that Grady is chipper and ready to roll. Funny how that happens. Note: Shortly after this picture was taken Grady puked all over, forcing Adam to change his shirt. Note: No burp rags can withstand the true power of the 'White Puke!!'
Usually Adam will come home from work to find Camille and Grady asleep together on the couch. Poor Camille gets up in the night to feed and change him...then has to deal with his fussiness all day long while Adam is at work. The two deserve a break...so Adam tries real hard not to wake them up...he only takes pictures of them.
Finally!!! After six weeks of torturing his soul, Grady will smile. For two days he would only smile for his mom, which made Adam very upset and made him try harder by tickling and talking in funny voices. In trying harder, Adam made Grady cry even more. Finally, after two days, Adam got some smiles. We have a slew of pictures of a smiling, happy, Grady boy, but haven't taken them off the camera...stay tuned. Note: Poor Grady got stuck with the Phillips' curse = a double chin.
We also went to the doctor and got his measurments:

Height: 21 3/4 inches - 50 percentile
Head Size: 15 3/8 - 60 percentile

I can't believe he's already 6 weeks! Whew! Thanks for the post, I'd be wondering how things are going. He's super cute, I love seeing the pics. It sounds like you guys are getting in the swing of things, and he'll start rewarding you with all sorts of fun tricks.
I can't believe it has really already been six weeks! He has changed so much. I love it when they start to smile. He is so adorable!
so cute! I am surprised he likes his baths - my kids just screamed at the water at that stage. I felt like we were torturing them. Keep the pictures coming - he is adorable!!!
He is so adorable. Those smiles make up for all of the long sleepless nights. You guys are awesome parents.
Ha ha ha, he is so cute! I love the first little smiles you get out of them. What a charmer. :) And yes, sleep is over rated. Hopefully you'll get some more of that soon.
It's about time! He is so dang cute. It is so great when they start smiling. I love that. It gets even better with each new stage.
Love him! He's adorable. Hang in there. Enjoy him!
So Sweet!I hope you see the halo more than the horns:)! He's soooo cute...LOVE the pictures! I will have to make you a tripple layer
x-large burp rag:)
after the 3rd or 4th kid, you won't change your shirt anymore after he spits up all over it. You'll also go to work with cheerios in your hair and stuck to the back of your pants.
He is so dang cute! I love their yummy baby smell. Looks like you guys are enjoying parenthood! Congrats again!
I think he looks so much like Adam. Sooo cute
He is adorable! I love the couch picture. I missed that a lot with Claire. Kind of a death warrant with 2 other kids running around. Don't worry about the smiling, in about 9 months ore so, he will think that Adam is the coolest person on the planet, which gives mom a nice little break!
p.s. we live in Vegas, pants are always optional here!
