Low Family Reunion

Every few years Camille's family (Camille's Mom's side) has a big family reunion in Smithfield, Utah. Unfortunatley in years past Adam has not been able to attend because of school, but this year he was able to join in all the fun. We started off by arriving Friday night and having a 1950's style dinner (Spam, tuna casserole, Jello, and biscuits). After dinner we played a few trivia games about the Low family. Adam doesn't really know that side of the family and so he was the host and read all the questions. Later that evening all the kids and some of the adults played "kick the can." Adam and Camille's older cousins all bragged about good they were at kick the can, but in the end, they were destroyed by the superior children (it didn't help that Adam didn't know most of their names).

Here is Uncle Cam and Cousin Brooke enjoying dessert and gearing up for the Trivia games. There were two different types of cake and graham crackers with frosting. Adam ate like 12 of each and could not run without almost puking; yet, another reason he lost badly at kick the can.

Sisters and Cousins. The two on the ends are sisters and the two in the middle are sisters, but they are all cousins. Man, that was confusing. The Zollinger's, Camille's cousins are pictured, came from California to enjoy the Low family reunion.
The next morning Adam, Uncle Cam, Aunt Lez, Grandpa Dale, and others helped cook breakfast. Adam is an expert egg maker. Here you can see his egg making face. You don't mess with a good egg man!! Uncle Cam (over Adam's right shoulder) was cooking enormous pieces of bacon. Grandpa Dale was on Pancake duty. Aunt Lez (who has her side on the left of Adam) was running all over trying to keep things on the table.
After breakfast, Camille's mom and Uncle Cam created a Road Rally. We were seperated into teams and were to follow clues around Smithfield (similar to "The Amazing Race"). Adam didn't know a single clue, but made many jokes and had fun watching Camille's Uncle Randy think way too hard about where stuff was. Camille's team got lost, picked some strawberry's, and finally finished in second to last. Camille's Dad and Grandpa Dale had all the kids on their team and end up playing at the park most of the time...they finished dead last (and by dead last, I mean like 35 minutes after everyone else). After the Road Rally we all sat around, talked, ate, and had a big water fight. What a great family reunion!! Way to go Low!!
