Cruise - Curacao

Curacao was a beautiful Dutch island. All of the buildings were built in the 1700's by the Dutch and are painted very vibrant colors.
This picture was taken in the port. One might think Camille is flashing gang signs, but she is just trying to eat an ice cream cone that was melting. We took a ferry to a beach that had really pretty water; however, the beach itself was made up of corral. The corral killed your feet, and the wind was blowing. So, we had fun soaking up the sun and sitting in the water trying not to touch the beach.
Camille on the pier
Again, Camille on the pier
Another rare photo of us together. We thought this was a fun photo of us sitting under an umbrella.
This should be a post card!! Beautiful background with a studly model posing in the forefront.
We stopped off at a Cafe along the port for lunch and ordered Danish food. We couldn't pronounce anything on the menu except "Burrito Chicken." Camille being the wuss she is went with the burrito, but Adam being daring just pointed to something on the menu. Both dishes were amazingly good.
Here is Adam enjoying his sandwhich thing that he ordered.

Our Cruise - Aruba

Our first stop was Aruba. After listening to the Beach Boys song, one would think that Aruba would be a tropical paradise...it was not. It was a giant desert in the middle of the ocean. Outside the beach and shopping, there wasn't much there. Unfortunatley for them, the beaches weren't even that nice.
Here is Camille in a mall. All the buildings on the islands we went to were painted very cool colors. We booked an excursion from the boat on a pirate ship. To get to the pirate ship we had to go on a crazy colored bus that played loud music and served rum, that is why everyone looks so happy, including Camille (ok, no rum was consumed by Camille).
Adam looking like he is almost enjoying the pirate ship.
A view from the ocean of Aruba
This is the pirate ship we were on. It took us to a couple of locations where we snorkled and swung on a rope off its mast. We snorkled in about 60-80 feet of water looking at a sunken WWII battle ship.
Adam said arrrrrrrr and matey only a thousand times while aboard.

Our Cruiseship, Adventure of the Seas

The ship we were on was called Adventure of the Seas and was the 3rd largest cruise ship in the world. Our first day we had to do a "sinking" drill and don life vests. We think they will be the next fashion rage around the world.Adam's looked especially glam!!
We met the Captain of the boat one night, which was in a very cool lounge. Here is Adam in the lounge looking rather GQ.
Here is our boat, with Camille in the forefront.
You can see just how big the boat was. The small speck at the bottom was Camille. There were three swimming pools, four hot tubs, 14 decks, a theatre, an ice skating rink, and a ton of other things. Just a monster of a boat, but so much fun.

Our Cruise - Puerto Rico

We finally embarked on our first Caribbean Cruise. Some might have called us Pirates (actually, Adam was probably the only one who called us pirates), but we had so much fun and tons of sun.

We started by flying to Puerto Rico where we would stay for a few days and then board our ship. Our hotel room was in the middle of the ghetto and was the worst piece of hud!! Camille said she got a good deal on it and it was next to the beach, but it was CRAP!! Adam didn't even fit on the beds. At night we would walk along the beach and collect Sand Dollars that had washed up on the shore (pure romance, Adam can work it!!).
Here is Camille modeling the dollars and our room.
We ate the best Puerto Rican food. Adam is eating a Mofongo. It was a shell made of crushed plantains and fish with a gravy mixture inside with Shrimp. It was very good.
The best part about Puerto Rico was El Morro Fort. It was way cool and drenched in history. On one side of the fort was a giant field and the other was the ocean.
Side 1
Side 2 (Adam actually took this picture from the bathroom. Great view hey?)
Other veiw of Side 1 from a distance and with Camille
Adam with balls of fury!!
Ahoy, is that Captain Jack...arrrrrrrrrr, nay, it be Captain Crazy!!! "Where be my booty?"

This photo was taken from a lookout and was actually one of the only photos we got of both of us together. We liked that you could see us, the fort, and the ocean.

No Country For Old Men

As Camille, Camille's mom, and Camille's Sister got ready for prom. The men did something manly...we shot guns. It was actually something more than just shooting guns. We hopped in Camille's dad's 1990 Chevy pickup and went out on some of the backroads of Wyoming. As we drove, we had country music blaring in the background. Dennis, Camille's dad, had an old beat up hat and some rawhide gloves on. I felt very much from Wyoming as I did this. Also in the car were Camille's half-sister Joni and her husband Beau. They are not from Wyoming, but they too felt like they belonged as Shania Twain belted out "Man, I feel like a woman!!" We finally arrived at our destination and layed out the hardware. Here are the manly guns in full display:

To tell you the truth, Adam has never really shot a gun in his life. Other than of course BB guns or an occasional .22. However, these were like James Bond type of guns. Adam tried his best to be steady and look cool for the other guys on the trip, but all he could hit were the snow drifts. He never hit a target.
Another angle of Billy the Kid himself.
At the end of the day, we all had to take a piece and pose. Adam clearly looks highly out of place, but he thoroughly enjoyed his trip!! Next time we will seek out some more manly country music to listen to, and leave Shania Twain at home.

Wuv, Twwwwwwwue wuv...for Jill and Nathan

It is that time of year again. A time when young love springs eternal. A time when teenagers get all dressed up and go to prom. Camille's sister Jill had a hot date with a studly stallion named Nathan. Their date included a romantic limo drive to Evanston to eat at an even more romantic Don Pedro's Mexican Restaurant (note: Don Pedro's is neither nice nor romantic, but it was prom and they were in love.) They followed that up with a quick change of clothes, exchanging of flowers, and then off to the dance. I don't know if Jill turned into a pumpkin at midnight or not; however, Camille and Adam did note that at 12:15a.m. she was not yet home. The next morning we got the full report, however, full details of a good night kiss were not divulged.

This is Camille's sister Jill in all her prom glory!!!Looking hot, toots!!!
What is prom without your big sister there to give you a helping hand.
What is prom with out a studly stallion? Here is the man himself, Nathan, as he puts on Jill's corsage.
Jill returns the favor. I think her hands were shaking because Nathan looked so hot in his tux.

Roast this!!!

The entire three years (almost three years) that Camille and Adam have been married, Camille has been extremely afraid of cooking a roast. She is fearful that she will burn, destroy, or do something terrible to the roast. For this reason she has been rather reluctant. However, after talking with her mother, Camille decided to give it a shot. However, things did not turn out the way she wanted. Her mother gave her instructions to sear the roast inside the casserole dish. As she did this Camille began to hear popping. All the sudden the pan shattered and the roast lit on fire!! Adam came rushing downstairs to Camille's screaming and put the fire out, rescuing the roast. In the end the roast turned out OK, and actually tasted like it was smoked. We will see when Camille will make her next roast.

The shattered remains of the pan, and Camille's sad fase.

Camille's happy face as the rescued meat goes into the oven for a final cooking.
As you can see, the edges are a bit charred, but overall the roast tasted pretty good. Well done Camille.
