Mother's Day is a great day where we get to celebrate some of the best people in the world. This year we went to Camille's house to spend some time with her Mom, Grandma, and the rest of the Cartwright gang. It was a nice little trip and we enjoyed seeing everyone. Grady loved being spoiled. Adam's parents were in California and we didn't get to see them, but we called and sent our love to his mom. We both have some of the greatest mothers in the world. Note: Adam also included Camille in this list of "World's Greatest Mothers" what other mother would let an 11 month old boy feed himself?
And continue to let the boy feed himself...sweet potatoes even. Notice in this picture he is telling the world that his mom is NUMBER #1!!
Adam had to get a close up so that everyone could see how caked on the baby food was. It took us over 20 minutes of scrubbing with wet wipes, a bath, and two days of wear and tear for the stains to fully be removed from his face. Note: If you look closely you can even see some Gerber's up his nose...at least that is what we are calling them.
Here is our clean boy...without a shirt. He decided to go all gangster with no shirt and his pants being bagged just enough to see his diaper. All he was missing was some bling and a headband with his hat sideways....maybe some tats. Adam is hoping this new gangster look will translate into Grady becoming a future NBA star.
Grady's personality is really fun and LOUD...we wonder often where he gets it from, that is until his dad and him get together. Grady can now walk (more like a drunken sailor swagger), can say "Dad", "Mom", "lights", and "up". However, he does not say them often and more or less just runs around screaming incoherent words.
Adam came home early from work one Friday afternoon so we decided to work on his walking a bit more. The one major skill that Grady has developed is taking major headers into the carpet. Grady can wreck like the best of them. Usually he cries, but lately, if he doesn't get too hurt, he will laugh. In the past week and a half he has bonked his head a dozen times, leaving two prominent bruises on both sides of his forehead. Adam has been telling everyone that is where the horns come out.
There is one thing in the world that Grady loves more than anything, and that is his mother. Grady always wants his mom to be close...Dad is OK, but mom is tops at our house. We hope she had a great mother's day.
On a funny note, the other day we sent Grady to the sitter's fully dressed. While there Grady had a major blow out and covered his shirt and onesie with "Number 2". So, the sitter removed the clothing and just left his overalls on. Camille thought it was super cute, but when Adam saw Grady, he couldn't stop laughing and kept singing "Come on Eileen!" Note: "Come on Eileen" was a hit song in the 80's by Dexys Midnight Runners. Look up the video on YouTube and you will understand why Adam could only picture Grady doing a little jig.
This picture was really funny because as Camille was taking the photo, Grady was falling down. It turned out to be cute and funny at the same time...Note: The reason Grady was falling down is because Adam was supposed to be holding him up for the picture, but was in the process of singing "Come on Eileen" and doing a little jig.

Ack, so many cute pics all in one post! I totally LOVE the ones with adam and grady on the ground. Looks like fun times over there.
Isn't that how everyone wears their overalls in Wyoming?
That is too funny! Sad thing is, last time I went to Australia (almost 2 years ago) the kung foo shoes in that same video clip were totally in. GROSS
I love babies wearing overalls with no shirt...babies can make any look adorable...including hick!
Grady is getting so BIG!! Great post and super cute pictures.
